Recently I flew to Santa Fe, New Mexico to meet up with Bill Kemsley and Larry Luxembourg. The purpose of the trip, other than to meet up with friends was to meet with Outside Magazine and explain the serious issue of closing the gaps in the nation trail system.
Our “tribe” hopes that our meeting comes with something in print that is shared with the hiking community. However, the highlight of the trip was being able to hike about 2.5 miles with Bill Kemsley in the Columbine-Hondo Wilderness, Carson National Forest. Bill 91, is pictured here trekking over the rocky landscape with his poles.
After all these years, our “tribe” still has a passion for hiking and completing our national trails. Please consider signing our petition to help us seem all the trails finished for safety and posterity.
